  • A Plastic-Free Covid Test Kit!

Morrama has designed a concept plastic-free covid test! Its ECO-FLO test for COVID-19 has been simplified down to four parts, removing multiple pieces of single-use plastic, and will be biodegradable. it will be made from FSC-certified recyclable cellulose pulp and its outer packaging will be a Nature Flex film sachet.

  • Leak-Free Leggings for Worry-Free Planet-Friendly Workouts

New from Modibodi for worry-free leak-free workouts – recycled 7/8 Active Leggings. These leggings can handle heavy, medium, or light periods and are pee-proof, as well as being eco-friendly and having a phone pocket. Made from moisture-wicking recycled fabric, they have built-in mesh support and a hidden leak-proof gusset.

  • Shampoo & Body Wash in Powder Form

Shampoo and body wash are now available in powder form thanks to Goodeau. 60 grams of this highly concentrated powder makes 1 litre of shampoo or body wash. To use it, a small amount is sprinkled on wet hands that are then rubbed together to create a lather that is used to clean your body or hair. It comes in a recyclable aluminium container with a plastic dispenser lid that can then be filled with refills that come in home compostable packaging in future.

  • Trial to Help Save Food Vendors’ Surplus Food Waste

Forkful has begun trialling Waste-Free Wednesdays in the City of Darebin. The idea is that surplus food from restaurants, cafes, and bakeries is provided to people at a discounted price. People will be able to browse the food that needs to be saved from going to waste and order what they want online and then pick it up at the venue.

Tentshare is a newish (it was launched in 2020 but is new to us) online platform in the UK that aims to reduce the carbon footprint of tents and campers by enabling easy sharing within the local community. On the site, you can book a tent and kit to borrow instead of buying one and people can list and lend out their tents.
